In this paper, the existing studies on new blade tips are divided into three phases. First, the conventional rectangular tip is modified into the simple straight swept or tapered tip or combined sweep and taper configuration.

Comparison with available experimental data was made for three different impellers: backswept log-spiral blade, straight radial blade, and curved blade with backward sweep. Good agreement was obtained for the streamline and velocity distributions.

就三种不同叶片的叶轮后掠式对数螺旋线叶片，直线径向叶片，后掠弯曲叶轮比较它们已有的实验数据，流线与速度的分布基本相同。
